The
history of the Château Mauvezin goes back even further than 1741, when it
first appeared on a tax register in Libourne, as wine growing land
belonging to the Fontémoing family. After a number of successors,
Château Mauvezin became the property of Pierre Cassat, in 1968. |

A full bodied red wine of a silky, yet robust quality. With a fiery, sharp and exotic bouquet, it makes a wonderful marriage with the smoky, vanilla scents of a new cask. Tannic osmosis makes Château Mauvezin a powerful, stylish wine, which lingers delicately on the palate. To reach maturity for the table, it needs to be stored from 7 to 15 years in the cellar.
